RAID Data Recovery
No access to your disk array? Since 2004 we have been recovering data reliably from failed RAID / NAS systems. We are happy to pick up the storage device on-site at your location. You only pay if the RAID data recovery is successful.
Costs / Prices
These are the lowest possible prices. Individual fixed prices are determined after a professional analysis of your storage device.

RAID Data Recovery for Logical Defects

When data has been partially or completely overwritten or deleted, we can recover it in most cases.
RAID Array Data Recovery for Physical Damage
In the event of hard drive failure due to power surges, overheating, or manufacturing defects, we recover data quickly and reliably. Read more about the symptoms of a defective RAID.
Common Causes of Defective RAID Disk Arrays
- Hard drive failure due to power surge / overheating
- Defective controller
- Loss of RAID configuration
- One or more hard drives are defective
- Incorrect parity calculation
- Partial overwriting
- Incorrect initialization of the RAID array
- Loss of reallocation information
⛔ Warning
Never start a rebuild if read errors already exist on other drives! A forced rebuild can cause additional hard drives in the array to fail, resulting in total loss of all data.
Data Recovery for RAID Error Messages
- lost volume
- RAID offline
- RAID critical
- Drive missing
- Invalid RAID volume
- In degraded mode Read only
- Multiple Disk Failure
- Disk failed
- failed hard drive "x"
- Problem is detected with Array "x"
💡 Good to know
If you see one of these error messages: shut down the system, document the error message (photo/screenshot) and contact us. Our RAID experts can provide an initial assessment based on the error message alone.
Data Recovery from All Known RAID Levels
- RAID 0 (Striping): Data is distributed across multiple hard drives without redundancy. The failure of a single hard drive leads to total loss.
- RAID 1 (Mirroring): Complete data mirroring. Data loss occurs with simultaneous failure of both drives or logical errors.
- RAID 2: Bit-level striping with Hamming code error correction.
- RAID 3: Byte-level striping with dedicated parity disk.
- RAID 4: Block-level striping with dedicated parity disk.
- RAID 5: Block-level striping with distributed parity. Tolerates the failure of one hard drive.
- RAID 5E / 5EE: Extended RAID 5 variants with integrated hot spare.
- RAID 6: Like RAID 5, but tolerates the simultaneous failure of two hard drives.
- RAID 7: Proprietary implementation with its own real-time operating system.
- Combined RAID levels (RAID 0+1, RAID 10, RAID 50, RAID 60, etc.): Nested configurations for maximum performance and fault tolerance.
- Proprietary RAID systems: Manufacturer-specific implementations such as Synology Hybrid RAID (SHR), DynamicRAID, etc.
Pricing
- Standard RAID Data Recovery: from 449 EUR (for logical errors, depending on number and condition of hard drives)
- Express RAID Data Recovery: fixed price on request (24/7 processing, individual effort)
Our Data Recovery Process
Quote
We pick up your storage device on-site anywhere in Germany. Alternatively, drop it off at one of our locations. Based on an initial analysis, we provide you with a fixed-price quote.
Data Recovery
We recover your data in our cleanroom using specialized, partly custom-developed software. If needed, we replace defective components (hard drive repair) to perform the data recovery.
Handover
Once the data recovery is successful, we hand over your data on a storage device of your choice (new hard drive, USB stick, etc.). You only pay if the recovery is successful.
