Why Commission Data Destruction?
"Why would you commission professional data destruction? After all, you can simply delete files yourself," most people probably think. However, conventionally deleted data can be recovered in most cases (see: Data recovery for logical errors). To delete data PERMANENTLY and thus in a legally secure manner in accordance with GDPR and BDSG-neu, professional data destruction is required.
Methods of Data Destruction:
- Degaussing
- Overwriting
- Multiple overwriting
- Physical destruction - chemical, mechanical
Certified Data Destruction

We permanently and legally securely erase data from all storage media. Data destruction is carried out in a reconstruction-proof manner using specialized software, degaussing, multiple overwriting, or physical (mechanical, chemical) destruction.
We Erase Data From:
- SSD hard drives
- HDD hard drives
- RAID arrays
- NAS servers
- Wide Area Networks (WAN)
- Local corporate networks (WLAN / LAN)
- Virtual machines and logical drives
- USB flash drives
- Smartphones and tablets

FAQs on Data Destruction
When Should Data Destruction Be Performed?
At the latest when new PCs, smartphones, or tablets are purchased, the GDPR requires comprehensive and permanent deletion of personal data. Conventionally deleted data can be recovered through data recovery. Read more about recovering deleted files. Accordingly, professional, certified data destruction should be commissioned.
How Is Data Permanently Deleted?
The reconstruction-proof "anonymization" or destruction of data is accomplished, for example, through multiple overwriting and degaussing. As an alternative to degaussing the storage medium, the medium is physically destroyed. Here too, a professional approach is necessary to comply with the US guideline from the CMRR (Center of Magnetic Research) and NIST recommendation 800-88 (National Institute for Science and Technology). According to these standards, the physical particle size of the destroyed storage surface must be smaller than the physical space occupied by a 512kB data block (approximately 0.5 - 0.1mm2) for reconstruction-proof destruction of an HDD.
Are All Data Destruction Standards Met?
All programs we use for permanent file deletion comply with BSI standards (BSI = Federal Office for Information Security) according to ITSEC / CC / SOG-IS.
Our Data Recovery Process
Quote
We pick up your storage device on-site anywhere in Germany. Alternatively, drop it off at one of our locations. Based on an initial analysis, we provide you with a fixed-price quote.
Data Recovery
We recover your data in our cleanroom using specialized, partly custom-developed software. If needed, we replace defective components (hard drive repair) to perform the data recovery.
Handover
Once the data recovery is successful, we hand over your data on a storage device of your choice (new hard drive, USB stick, etc.). You only pay if the recovery is successful.
